Hi everyone! I am looking for a beginners violin. Malyna wants to start violin lessons and I am a little nervous to go and buy a brand new one just because I don't want her to not be intrested. If anyone know of where to get a good deal on one or know of someone that I could buy it from that would be very useful!! Thanks again. Anjuli Rosevear

We bought Mikkall's first violin off of eBay. It worked well enough as a student violin and she used it for about 6 months before we decided to spend more to get a better one and go up a size. We got a very nice used violin at this store in Salt Lake. At the time we bought ours, they would let you exchange your violin for only the cost of restringing and cleaning which is nice so you aren't paying a ton every time they need to go up a size. I'm not sure if they still do that, but would imagine they do. Jennifer Rosqvist recommended them to me and they were great to deal with. She would be a good one to talk to about violin stuff. Her daughter is amazing on the violin.

When Madi took violin (for about 4months), thank goodness we just rented one from Bountiful Music before we invested in one for her. Plus, they grow out of a violin. For starters, I would just rent.
